Spyware Problems

Spyware is big business and often mis-understood as a virus.  Spyware in simple terms is a program that will collect personal information without the user's consent and use it in various different ways.  Spyware can be installed very easily without knowing, it is often found bundled with free software programs, another well known example can be found in toolbars installed in Web Browsers.  Spyware will monitor the keystrokes that you enter, for example installing a toolbar by mistake will often give a search box.  Typing in the Search box for anything you are interested in can divert you through to a host of even more spyware and instead of getting the results you require you are diverted to other spyware sites.

Usually you then find that you get the dreaded pop up boxes, offering all sorts of products and once infected by spyware unless treated the problem will get worse.  Web pages can become hi-jacked so instead of going to the webpage you type in you are taken to another page or in turn sent through a different channel.  Spyware often then replicates causing slowness on the machine, more pop up boxes, and an increase in spam emails is another very common problem.

Manual removal of spyware can be very tricky, because often you will find a machine not just infected with one item but several examples and a PC needs to removed from all traces of spyware to ensure the machine is clean.

Help is at hand though, as using a combination of tools I am able to offer assistance in removing spyware as part of a spyware removal service.  In a nutshell this involves, scanning an infected machine with several tools, removing any infected spyware found including toolbars /hijacked webpages.  Installing spyware preventation tools/configuration on the machine to keep the machine free from spyware.  Training on how to use the tools, keep the tools updated, what to do if spyware is found, and answer any other questions you have or would like to ask.
